A $75,000 salary paid every two weeks is $2,884.62 a paycheck before anything comes out.
Federal taxes
Single with the standard deduction, 2026 federal income tax is $7,670 for the year, Social Security $4,650 and Medicare $1,087.50.
New York State and City withholding
With no IT-2104 allowances, New York takes $7,400 off and the 2026 single schedule gives $3,485.80 a year. A New York City resident also has $2,661 of city tax withheld.
Disability and Paid Family Leave
Disability is 0.5% of wages, at most $0.60 a week ($31.20 a year). Paid Family Leave is 0.432%, $324 on $75,000. Outside NYC that leaves $2,221.21 every two weeks; in NYC $2,118.87.
