Hourly to Salary Calculator
Quick check: double the hourly rate and add three zeros. $25.00 an hour is roughly $50,000.00 a year.
How the hourly to salary calculation works
Weekly pay is rate × hours
$25 × 40 hours = $1,000 a week.
Annual pay is weekly pay × paid weeks
$1,000 × 52 = $52,000 a year. With two unpaid weeks off it is $50,000.
Monthly pay is the annual amount ÷ 12
$52,000 ÷ 12 = $4,333.33. A month is not four weeks, so don't multiply weekly pay by 4.
Quick rule: double it and add three zeros
$25 an hour is about $50,000 a year. It works because a full-time year is close to 2,000 hours.
Worked example. At $25 an hour, 40 hours a week for 52 weeks is $52,000 a year, $4,333.33 a month and $2,000 every two weeks.
